Patricia's Story
My story begins 25 years ago after a traumatic brain injury. For years I lied and pretended to know people when they would talk to me, but eventually I realized that it was better to be honest and start over. My family was the hardest. They were always there, always loving and patient, and it scared the heck out of me because I felt no connection. I went b ack to work and probably never should have because the first part of every day was trying to piece together what I had done the day before and why. All I knew for sure was that it was more comfortable at work than it was at home where people were expecting me to love them when I wasn't sure what that meant. Thank God for giving me the opportunity to get to know them and learn to love them all again.

sted that I attend the 40th class reunion because he thought it might rekindle some old memories. I met a lot of you at that time and heard a lot of stories about when I was in school but I really can't say that I know if there are any memories in this tired old brain, or if I simply remember what I have been told. Either way it has been an interesting journey. One of the most interesting times was meeting my first husband an our oldest son's home. By then our son was used to my lack of information and introduced us. Wierd, we had children together and he was a stranger.
A couple of you have kept in touch with me since that reunion and now I am trying to help get the 50th put together. I hope to see all of you there and have the chance to meed some new, old friends.
